O R D E R

The writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent police to grant permission and provide adequate police protection for "Sri Thiyagarajar Sivalayam Margazhi Thiruvathirai festival" scheduled from 28.12.2022 to 06.01.2023 in connection with the temple festival of Sri Thiyagarajar Sivalayam situated at Elluvilai, Rajakkamangalam, Kanyakumari District by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 05.12.2022.

2. Mr.E.Antony Sahaya Prabahar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State would submit that there are rival claimants oppposing for permission sought for by the petitioner. He would further submit that the petitioner's representation dated 05.12.2022 is pending for consideration. 2/4

4. In view of the above, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.12.2022 and pass orders in accordance with law within a period of three days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
