ORDER

An order dated 07.08.2025 rejecting the revision petition filed by the petitioner is challenged in this writ petition.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the grievance of the petitioner relates to an error that occurred during the UDR period. Therefore, notwithstanding the rejection of the revision under the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Patta Passbook Act, 1983, he makes a request that the petitioner be permitted to file a petition requesting for correction of UDR error under G.O.Ms.No.385. Learned counsel for the 4th respondent has no objection to this course of action.

3. Learned Special Government Pleader submits that if such request were to be made, it would be considered and disposed of on merits. 2/4

Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's assertion that there is an UDR error, this writ petition is disposed of by leaving it open to the petitioner to approach the District Revenue Officer seeking correction of UDR errors. If the petitioner files an application in that regard, the District Revenue Officer shall consider and dispose of the same on merits notwithstanding the rejection of the revision petition by order dated 07.08.2025. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
