This petition has been filed to direct the Family Court, 1/4

Madurai, to expeditiously conduct trial in Crl.MP.No.45 of 2020 in MC.No.57 of 2007 and dispose of the same within the stipulated time fixed by this Court.

2. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, his mother, who is the wife of the respondent herein filed M.C.No.57 of 2007 on behalf of the minor children/petitioner seeking maintenance and the same was allowed on 11.08.2014. From the date of award till date, the respondent did not pay any amount to the petitioner. Hence, she filed Crl.MP.No.45 of 2020 seeking recovery of arrears of maintenance. However, the same is pending without any progress for the past 6 years. Hence, this petition.

3. Considering the limited prayer sought for in this petition, even without given notice to the respondent, this Court is inclined to pass orders in this petition.

4. Accordingly, the Family Court, Madurai, is directed to dispose of Crl.MP.No.45 of 2020 in MC.No.57 of 2007 within a period of 2 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order without giving any long adjournment.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
