ORDER

The present writ petitioner has been filed by a retired Assistant Engineer of the respondent Corporation, who voluntarily retired from service on 30.06.2021. His terminal benefits were released belatedly only on 13.03.2023 and the balance amount was released on 27.03.2023. Hence, the petitioner has sent a representation on 20.10.2023 seeking interest for the belated disbursal of the terminal benefits. Since the said request has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

2. Considering the above said facts, the respondents 2 and 3 are directed to pay interest at the rate of 6% per annum from the due date till the date of actual payment of terminal benefits to the writ petitioner within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

3. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
