Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner seeks issuance of passport. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) clarified that the case against the petitioner has culminated in C.C.No.149 of 2022 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Pattukottai. Therefore, the petitioner has to necessarily get relief only from the jurisdictional Criminal Court. The petitioner is at liberty to move the learned Jurisdictional Criminal Court seeking permission. If such a miscellaneous petition is filed, the same shall be disposed of on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks thereafter.

3. With this liberty to the petitioner to move the jurisdictional Criminal Court, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
