ORDER

The petitioners challenge an order issued on 31.07.2025 recording that the third respondent has submitted requisite documents to establish rights in respect of the relevant Survey numbers, whereas the petitioners herein, who were the objectors, had not produced documents. 2.Learned counsel for the petitioners states that he has documents evidencing ownership and possession in respect of the relevant lands and that he would produce the same, if provided an opportunity. 3.Mr.S.C.Herold Singh, learned counsel who accepts notice on behalf of the third and fourth respondents, submits that in spite of providing an opportunity to the petitioners, they failed to produce documents. On the contrary, he states that the third and fourth respondents produced title documents and patta in the name of the third and fourth respondents. He further submits that the private respondents would not stand in the way of the petitioners producing relevant documents.

4.Learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the first and second respondents. He submits that the documents submitted by the petitioners would be considered before a decision is taken on the request for survey.

5.Accordingly, without making any observations on the merits, this writ petition stands disposed of by directing the first respondent to consider the documents submitted by the petitioners and conduct an inquiry before taking any decision on the request of the 3rd and the 4th respondents for the conduct of the survey. Such documents shall be submitted within one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The entire exercise shall be concluded within twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
