ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to disburse the policy amount in Policy No. 747174846 on the demise of the petitioner's husband Manoharan to the petitioner based on the necessary documents by considering the representation dated 08.06.2023 of the petitioner.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondents 1 and 2.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's husband one Mr.Manoharan passed away, while he was in Saudi Arabia, on 11.10.2016. The deceased husband has taken an insurance policy with the respondents 1 and 2. However, the originals of all the documents including the bond has been taken by the petitioner's son. The petitioner, being the wife, is the nominee, who has to receive the said claim amount. Hence, the learned counsel submits that since the claim amount has not been disbursed, the petitioner has given a 2/4

representation dated 08.06.2023. However, since the representation was not considered so far, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. The learned counsel for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that on considering the representation of the petitioner, necessary orders would be passed.

5. Considering the said submission made, the writ petition is disposed of with the following directions:

"In the event of the petitioner producing the originals of the legal heirship certificate, death certificate of the petitioner's husband and on the proof for missing of the bond, the respondents 1 and 2 are directed to follow the procedure as required under law and disburse the claim amount to the petitioner. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order." No costs.
