PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to survey the petitioner's land in Survey No.755/20A1 situated at Melachokanathapuram, Bodinayakkanur Taluk, Theni District respectively and fix its boundaries as per the revenue records by considering his online application in Manu No. 2025/N123/25/003588 dated 28.07.2025 within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

By relying on sale deed dated 04.04.2025 executed by the legal heirs of the late Shanmuganathan and patta No.429 in the name of Shanmuganathan and Murugan, the petitioner submitted an online application dated 28.07.2025 seeking survey of the land in S.No.755/20A1. On the basis that such application was not acted upon, the present writ petition has been filed. 2.Learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the sole respondent. He submits that the application would be acted upon within 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after putting the owners of the relevant adjacent lands on notice.

3.Patta No.429 is a joint patta in the name of Shanmuganathan and Murugan. The petitioner's sale deed indicates that he has purchased the property from the legal heirs of Shanmuganathan. However, it is necessary to put Murugan on notice. It is also necessary to put the owners of relevant adjacent lands on notice.

4.Subject to the above observations, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to act on the petitioner's application for survey and complete such survey within 12 weeks from the date of receipt for copy of this order after putting the persons mentioned in the preceding paragraph on notice. No costs.
