PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 04.08.2025 made by the petitioner for the purpose of reclassification of her agricultural land property comprised in Survey No.163/1A1A1 measuring about 0.82.23 Hectares situated at Vaiyampati Village and post Manapparai Taluk, Trichy District in their register as Agricultural Land and accordingly fix the guideline value as per the classification of agricultural land by deleting the wrong classification as house site and consequent fixation of guideline value as per Square Feet rate. The petitioner states that she is an agriculturist and that she is carrying on the agricultural activities on the land in survey No. 163/1A1A1 measuring an extent of 2 acres 4 cents. She further submits that she was shocked to find that the guideline value of the above mentioned agricultural land was fixed on square feet basis as if it were a house site plot. Therefore, after submitting a representation in this regard, the present Writ Petition has been filed.
2. Learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of 2/5
all the respondents. On the basis of the written instructions, he submits that the petitioner and her minor sons have sold about five parcels of lands by showing the same as house sites. Without prejudice, he submits that the petitioner's representation would be considered and disposed of by the District Collector within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Accordingly, without making any observations on the merits, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.08.2025 within a period of twelve (12) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner.
