For Petitioners : Mr.K.P.S.Palanivel Rajan For 1st Respondent : Mr.K.Anbarasan Govt. Advocate (Crl.Side) COMMON ORDER These petitions have been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., praying to call for the records relating to the case in C.C.Nos.4 to 6 of 2009 on the file of the Special Court for TNPID Cases, Madurai and to quash the same, respectively.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the 1st respondent.
3.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) would submit that in this case, charge sheet has been filed against 12 accused persons and now, the trial is going on.
4.Admittedly, the case was taken on file in the year 2009 and the trial had commenced long back and most of the witnesses have given evidence. As held by the Hon'ble Apex Court, when the trial is almost over, the proceedings should be allowed to come to a logical conclusion. Hence, I do not find any ground to quash the charge sheet.
5.In the result, these petitions are dismissed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. Sd/- Assistant Registrar(crl side) /True Copy/ Sub Assistant Registrar To,
1. The Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Theni.
