PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to grant family pensionary benefits and other eligible benefits on the death of the petitioner's wife Mrs.Anandhi on 05.10.2021, while in service, by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 21.11.2022. The present writ petition has been filed by the husband of the deceased employee, who was working as a builder in the fourth respondent Cooperative Society.

2. As per the averments in the writ affidavit, the petitioner's wife, namely S.Anandhi, who was working in the third respondent Society as a builder since 2011, had passed away due to ill health on 05.10.2021. So far, the terminal benefits and other family pension has not been disbursed to the writ petitioner. The petitioner has sent a representation to the respondents 2/5

herein on 21.11.2022 seeking monetary benefits. Since the said request has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4. Considering the above said facts, the fourth respondent herein is directed to consider the said representation and disburse the terminal benefits of the deceased S.Anandhi to the petitioner based upon the legal heir certificate within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above said observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
