This writ petition is filed as against the impugned notice issued by the Assistant Commissioner, HR & CE Department, Pudukkottai in 1488/2023/A1 dated 13.10.2023 for appointment of non-hereditary trustees. According to the petitioners, the subject temple has been declared as a private temple by the HR & CE Department.

2.Considering the issue involved in this writ petition, this Court has entertained this writ petition on 24.11.2023 and granted an order of interim stay.

3.Today(19.12.2023), when this writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that pending this writ petition and in pursuant to the interim order granted by this Court on 24.11.2023, the Assistant Commissioner HR & CE Department, Pudukkottai has withdrawn the impugned 2/4

notice by her proceedings in No.Na.Ka.No.7408/2023/A1, dated 06.12.2023 and therefore, this writ petition has become infructuous. The learned counsel has also made an endorsement to that effect. 4.Recording the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
