ORDER
Heard the learned counsel on either side.
2. The petitioner is enjoying free electricity service connection in Survey No.212/1D in Alamarathupatti Village. The connection is however in the name of the previous predecessor-in-title. Since the water source has become dry, he wants to shift the service connection to Survey No.559/2D in Kellakkottai Village. In fact, the petitioner's request appears to have been endorsed by the TANGEDCO official themselves. However, the details now set out appear to be incorrect.
3. The petitioner is therefore directed to seek name transfer of the service connection from his predecessor-in-title to his name. Thereafter, it can be shifted to Survey No.559/2D. The petitioner has to comply with all the procedural requirement that may be stipulated by the TANGEDCO official 2/4
subject to the petitioner fulfilling all the requirements. The shifting of the service connection as sought for shall be granted. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. The Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
