O R D E R

The present writ petition has been filed by the wife of the Special Grade Driver of the respondent Corporation who died in service on 07.01.2023. The terminal benefits were released only on 06.10.2023. Hence, she has sent a representation to the respondent on 25.10.2023 seeking interest for the belated disbursement. The said representation was not considered. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 2/4

3. Considering the above said facts, the respondents 2 and 3 herein are directed to pay interest for the belated disbursement of the terminal benefits at the rate of 6% per annum from 08.01.2023 till 05.10.2023 within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. with the above said observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
