respondents 1 to 3 to extend the lease period of the petitioner in respect of the above mentioned salt pan by considering the petitioner's representations dated 12.09.2023, 16.10.2023 and 03.11.2023 within a time limit, that may be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for R1 to R3. Issuance of notice to R4 is dispensed with.

2. The case on hand pertains to leasing out the salt pan lands belonging to the third respondent co-operative society. The petitioner was granted lease for 10 years and the lease period has since come to an end. The authorities conducted tender cum auction on 30.10.2023. The petitioner took part in the said tender cum auction. The fourth respondent turned out to be a highest bidder. But then, the fourth respondent could not pay the bid amount. Hence, the tender process had been cancelled. A fresh tender process has been floated. The tenders are to be opened on 30.11.2023. The petitioner can very well take part in the same. No further order is required for the present. 2/4

3. The Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
