ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to delete the name of the fourth respondent from the revenue records in respect of the petitioner's land and to restore the original Patta No.2691, based on the petitioner's representation dated 01.09.2025, within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the parties.

3. According to the petitioner, he is the rightful owner of the land for which Patta No.2691 was originally issued. The inclusion of the fourth respondent's name in the revenue records is erroneous and illegal. In this regard, the petitioner has given a representation dated 01.09.2025 and the same has not been considered so far. The petitioner has been deprived of his lawful rights over the property due to the incorrect entry in the revenue records and the petitioner was

not heard before making the change in the revenue records, which violates principles of natural justice. Therefore, the petitioner is entitled to have the revenue records corrected and the original Patta restored in his name. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 3 submits that the petitioner's representation will be considered on its merits and in accordance with law.

5. Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.09.2025, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The second respondent is directed to provide reasonable opportunity during such enquiry to the petitioner, the fourth respondent and also to the other persons, who may be affected by such decision. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at

liberty to work out their remedies before the Civil Court. There shall be no order as to costs.
