ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Accused, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 409, 465, 466, 468 and 477A of IPC and 66C, 66D of Information Technology Act, in Crime No.27 of 2025 seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that certain irregularities was committed by the staff of the Madurai Corporation Billing Section. The defacto complainant, a Corporation Commissioner, lodged a complaint stating that he had constituted a team to investigate unauthorized use of user IDs and passwords in the computer system to change or reduce taxes.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the investigation is still in progress. Therefore, he opposed for grant of bail to the petitioner.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is directing the petitioner to surrender before the Judicial Magistrate No.I, Madurai. The petitioner shall submit a bail application before the learned Judicial Magistrate. On such submission, the learned Judicial Magistrate shall consider the bail application in accordance with law on merits on the same day.

6. With the above said directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
