COMMON PRAYER : Criminal Revision Case has been filed under Section 397 r/w 401 of Criminal Procedure Code, to set aside the order passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Kovilpatti, in Cr.M.P.Nos. 2698 of 2023 and 9540 of 2023 in M.C.No.13 of 2022 dated 24.04.2023 and 17.08.2023 and set aside the same.

COMMON ORDER Challenging the orders of the trial Court dated 24.04.2023 and 17.08.2023 passed in Cr.M.P.Nos.2698 and 9540 of 2023, by the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Kovilpatti, the petitioner has preferred these revision cases.

2. Earlier, this Court, based on the submissions of both the parties, directed the petitioner to deposit 50% of the arrears of the pending maintenance amount and directed the parties to appear before the Mediation Centre attached to this Bench on 04.03.2024.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the respondents submitted that the petitioner has not paid any arrears amount as directed by this Court and more so, the mediation was also not successful. Learned counsel submits that huge arrears of maintenance amount is pending and so far, the petitioner has not paid any amount to the respondents/minor children. He further submitted that in order to protract the proceedings the petitioner has filed these petitions. 2/4

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also taking into consideration the fact that the petitioner has failed to show his bonafide requirement, these revisions are dismissed being devoid of merits.
