This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to grant necessary permission and give police protection for conduct the Kabadi Tournament at Kandamangaam Village, Boothalur Taluk, Thanjavur District on 17.11.2023 to 19.11.2023 respectively on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 10.11.2023. 2.Mr.R.M.Anbunithi, learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Crl. Side) takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner submitted that the villagers are planning to conduct Kabadi Tournament at Kandamangaam Village, Boothalur Taluk, Thanjavur District on 17.11.2023 to 19.11.2023. They sought permission of the police by giving a representation dated 10.11.2023.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that in the previous year, such an event was arranged, there was a group clash between two groups of people. In which, police people were also assaulted. Over which, a case in Crime Nos.278 and 279 of 2022 were registered against the petitioner's village people.

5.In view of the previous occasions, the representation made by the petitioner, may be rejected by advising the parties to sort out the issue among themselves at the village level. If any representation is made jointly by both the parties, that may be considered by the second respondent Police.

6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
