O R D E R

The Writ Petition is filed for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent to grant permission to conduct Kabadi Tournament on 20.09.2025 and 21.09.2025 at Vadakkampatti Village, Karumathur Post Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 12.09.2025. 2.The petitioner, claiming to be a Chairman of the Kabadi Tournament in his village, sought for permission from the respondents to conduct the Kabadi Tournament on 20.09.2025 and 21.09.2025. In this regard, a representation was given to the respondent police. However, the respondent police have not considered the request of the petitioner till date. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is willing to abide by any conditions imposed and the sporting 2/6

activity cannot be curtailed by the respondents and that the petitioner is also ready to furnish any details requested by the respondents. Furthermore, the Kabadi Tournament is conducted in a peaceful manner and there will be no untoward incident caused by the people of the Village. 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would fairly submit that earlier a similar request was considered by this Court and that this petitioner may be directed to submit a fresh representation giving details of the number of participants and as to where they are likely to stay.

5.On an earlier occasion, this Court directed the respondents to consider the fresh representation of the tournament organizers and grant permission by imposing such conditions that may be required to maintain law and order. Therefore, in view of the said decision taken by this Court earlier in W.P.Crl(MD) No.337 of 2025, dated 30.06.2025, the request of the petitioner for conducting the Kabadi Tournament may be considered 3/6

6.The petitioner shall submit a fresh representation furnishing the details as required by the respondents. On such representation, the respondents shall consider the same and grant permission subject to any condition that they deem fit to maintain law and order, as soon as possible.

7. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
