PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus,directing the 1st respondent to issue final order based on the report of the 4th respondent, order dated 14.03.2024 in Rc.No.11786/2020/ L.R.1 regarding the cancellation of illegal Sale Deed /Patta and assignment of Surplus Land in favour of the petitioners within a time frame of 4 weeks.

Pursuant to the report dated 14.03.2024 from the District Revenue Officer to the Commissioner of Land Administration, the petitioner states that the Commissioner of Land Administration has not issued orders. The present writ petition seeks a direction for such purpose.

2. Learned Government Advocate submits that the Commissioner of Land Administration would pass orders on merits within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5/8

Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on the merits, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the first respondent to consider the report of the District Revenue Officer and pass orders on merits within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioners.
