ORDER
The petitioner's lands in Survey Nos.598/2, 598/6 and 589/9 situated at S.Ramalingapuram Village, Samsikapuram Revenue Village, Rajapalayam Taluk, Virudhunagar District, were acquired by the National Highways in the year 2020. However, the respondents have not provided any compensation to the petitioner for acquisition of the said lands. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.
2. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 2, 3 and 5, on instructions, submits that for acquisition of the petitioner's land, an award has already been passed and the compensation amount would be deposited in the petitioner's Bank 3/6
Account within a reasonable time.
3. Considering the submission of the learned Government Advocate, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent to deposit the compensation amount in the petitioner's Bank Account, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If the petitioner is having any grievance with regard to the quantum of compensation, it is always open to him to work out his remedy in the manner known to law. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
