ORDER
Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the third respondent. Considering the nature of relief to be granted, issuance of notice to the private respondents is dispensed with.
2. The Peace Committee Meeting proceedings are under challenge in this writ petition. It has been held time and again that decision taken in a Peace Committee Meeting is not having any statutory value or legal consequence does not binding the writ petitioner. It is not amenable to challenge under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. However, I make it clear that it would not be open to the official respondents herein ot the police authorities to enforce the decision taken in the impugned Peace Committee Meeting. 2/4
3. With this clarification and observation, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
