ORDER

This is a petition seeking initiation of contempt proceedings against the Respondent for alleged violation of the order dated 23.11.2016 passed by the Writ Court in W.P.(MD) No.22491 of 2016.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, Ms.T.Suvathi, learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner, submits that the Petitioner does not wish to press the Writ Petition as the matter has become infructuous. She 2/5

further submits that the Petitioner may be permitted to withdraw the present petition, and an endorsement to that effect has been made in the affidavit filed in support of the petition.

3. Mr.D.Sadiq Raja, learned Additional Government Pleader for the Respondents stated that he had no objection.

4. In view of the submissions and the endorsement made by the learned counsel for the Petitioner, this Contempt Petition is dismissed as withdrawn. The Respondents are discharged from the contempt proceedings. Interim Order, if any, stands vacated and the file is consigned to record.
