Heard both sides.

2. The petitioner seeks renewal of passport.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 2 to 4 informed the Court that two First Information Reports are presently pending against the petitioner and they are yet to be charge sheeted.

4. It is well settled that the pendency of FIR is not a ground for refusal of passport. I therefore direct the first respondent to renew / issue passport to the petitioner subject to fulfillment of the other usual formalities. This writ petition stands allowed accordingly. No costs.
