ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus, seeking a direction to the first respondent to pass orders in Peace Meeting Proceedings conducted in Na.Ka.No. A4/5437/2022, dated 19.09.2022 and consequently direct the respondents 1 and 2 to grant permission and Police Protection to conduct Thai Pongal Festival on 15.01.2023 at Sri Karuveppullan Kaliyamman Kovil situated at Valayanvayal Village, Puduvayal Post, Karaikudi Taluk, Sivagangai District by considering petitioner's representation, dated 20.12.2022.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that peace committee meeting was already 2/5

conducted, on 29.09.2022.

3.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the respondent police may be directed to consider the representation, dated 20.12.2022.

4.In view of the above, the first respondent is directed to conduct peace committee meeting and pass orders on or before 11.01.2023. Based on the order to be passed by the first respondent, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation, dated 20.12.2022. 5.With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
