PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to issue patta for the petitioner's purchased properties in S.F.No.119/4 with an extent of 1 Acre 80 cent and Punja land in S.F.No.96/9 with an extent of 20 cents situates at Pukkarambai Village, Pattukkotta Taluk, Thanjavur District in petitioner name by considering petitioner's representation dated 13.06.2025 within a time that may be stipulate by this Court.

ORDER

By asserting rights in respect of S.No.119/4 of an extent of 1 acre 80 cents and S.No.96/9 of an extent of 20 cents, the petitioner had applied for a patta. On the ground that such request was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

2.Learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of all the respondents. On the basis of written instructions, he submits that S.No.119/4 is classified as Arasu Poramboke Kulam. As regards S.No.96/9, he submits that the records reflect the name of one Raghu. Without prejudice, he states that an inquiry has been scheduled on 25.09.2025 and that further action would be taken on that basis.

3.Accordingly, without making any observations on the merits, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the 4th respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.06.2025 and issue a speaking order thereon within 12 2/4

weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and any other persons who would be affected by such order. No costs.
