Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner obtained a fresh passport in the year 2022. He submitted his application on 27.10.2022. Passport was also issued. Subsequently, the authority came to know that the petitioner is facing criminal prosecution in C.C.No.461 of 2019 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Kulithurai, through police verification report. Therefore the impugned notice has been issued. 3.I do not find any ground to interfere with the impugned notice. It is for the petitioner to appear before the first respondent and offer his explanation. The first respondent shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. It is also open to the petitioner to move the jurisdictional criminal Court namely Judicial Magistrate Court No.I, Kulithurai, for relief in this regard. The petitioner shall appear before the first respondent on 13.03.2023 at 3.00 p.m.
