The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to grant permission and provide protection for conducting the temple festival of ArulmiguIyyanar and Arulmigukaliyamman Temple, situated at Chokkalingapuram village, Sattur Taluk, Virudhunagar District, scheduled to be held between 04.10.2025 to 08.10.2025, based on his representation dated 09.09.2025.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would submit that there is a dispute with regard to the management of the temple and hence, unless the petitioner and the rival parties arrive at a settlement, the permission cannot be granted. However, in any case, the respondent police would consider the petitioner's representation and pass appropriate orders and communicate the same to the petitioner.
3.In view of the aforesaid submission, the respondent police shall consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.09.2025 and pass appropriate orders and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the above observation, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
