PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 14.07.2025 and consequently, issue patta in respect of Sy.Nos.532/93, 532/94, 532/95 and 532/96 situated at Mustakurichi Village, Kamuthi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District within a time stipulated by this Court.

By asserting that the petitioner's grandfather, Muthupandaram, purchased agricultural land in survey Nos.532/93 to 532/96 in the year 1968, the petitioner submitted multiple representations for cancelling the patta issued to the private respondents and instead to grant patta to him. On the ground that such representation was not considered, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

2. Learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of respondents 1 to 4. He submits that the petitioner's request is pending 2/5

before the Revenue Divisional Officer and would be considered and disposed of on merits after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and the private respondents herein. He also points out that the sale deed relied upon by the petitioner does not even indicate the relevant survey numbers.

3. In view of the above submissions of the learned Special Government Pleader, it is not necessary to issue notice to the private respondents in this Writ Petition. Instead, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 14.07.2025 within a period of twelve

(12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and respondents 5 to 8 herein. No costs.
