2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the first accused in Crime No. 970 of 2020, which was registered for the offence punishable under Sections 498(A), 420 IPC r/w Section 4 of Women Harassment Act on 10.08.2020. The grievance of the petitioner is that though the case was registered in the year 2020, so far no final report has been filed.
3.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) would submit that investigation in this case has been completed and the final report has also been filed before the Judicial Magistrate Court, Thuraiyur, on 19.07.2022 and the same is taken on file as C.C.No.181 of 2022.
4.Since the final report has been filed before the concerned Court, the prayer sought for by the petitioner in this petition has become infructuous.
5.In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous. The petitioner is granted liberty to workout his remedy 2/4
through appropriate proceedings, if so aggrieved by the contents of the final report.
