ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble G.R.Swaminathan J.) Heard both sides.

2. The petitioner herein filed W.P.(MD)No.5543 of 2025 to forbear the authorities from constructing the paddy purchase centre in the petition mentioned S.No.121/2C and 121/2B. However, during the course of argument, the petitioner made it clear that they have no objection if the procurement centre is constructed in S.No.121/2B. But they do not want encroachment to be committed in respect of the burial ground. The writ petition was disposed of with a direction to the official respondents that the east-west road and the burial ground should not be disturbed. Alleging that this direction has been breached, the contempt petition came to be filed.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the respondent asserts that the construction is confined only to S.No.121/2B and there is no construction whatsoever in S.No.121/2C. It is further made clear that the regular use of the burial ground by the people will not be in any way affected. 2/4
