O R D E R

By asserting that the land in survey No.41/1, Aavudayankadu Village, is classified as Government Natham Poramboku in the revenue records and that patta in respect of such land was wrongly granted to third parties, the petitioner applied for the cancellation of such patta. Because the said request was not considered and disposed of on merits within a reasonable time, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

2. Learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of all the respondents. He submits that the second respondent would consider and dispose of such request on merits within eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. Given the nature of relief claimed, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent to consider and dispose of the 2/4

petitioner's request for cancellation of patta within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and the pattadars concerned. No costs.
