PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to dispose the proceedings in O.Mu.6399/2024/Aa4 dated 20.09.2024 and issue patta in favour of the petitioner, in respect of old S.F. No.365 and new Natham S.F. No.365/39 situated at T. Keelaiyur Village, Kulathur Taluk, Pudukottai District, based on the sale deed dated 10.12.1964 in Doc. No.1530 of 1964. ORDER

After applying for patta in respect of new natham S.No.365/39, by this writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction for the early disposal thereof. 2.Learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of both the respondents. He submits that the request for patta would be considered and disposed of on merits within 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3.Accordingly, without making any observations on the merits, the second respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the petitioner's request for patta on merits within 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and any other persons interested in the property.
