O R D E R

By asserting that the petitioner's ancestors have worshipped at the Sri Aadhi Polla Pillaiyar Temple and that the request for patta in the name of the temple was not acceded to, after submitting a representation dated 01.10.2024, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner referred to various photographs of such temple and the structures surrounding such temple to buttress his request for patta.

3. Learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of all the respondents. By placing on record 'A' register extract relating to 2/5

survey No.74/1, he submits that the land is classified as 'Arasu Poramboku Chitadi Kulam Kinaru'. Because the relevant property is classified as a water body, he submits that patta cannot be issued.

4. Both the Hon'ble Supreme Court and this Court have reiterated in multiple judgments that any request of patta in relation to the property classified as a water body should not be entertained. In the light of the current classification, it is, therefore, not possible to consider the request of the petitioner.

5. With these observations, this Writ Petition is dismissed without any order as to costs.
