O R D E R

Heard both sides.

2. The petitioner wants to erect a shed in the petition mentioned patta land. As a result, the petitioner will be able to excavate a substantial quantity of sand. The petitioner wants to commercially dispose of the said mineral. He therefore sought permission under Rule 18 of Tamil Nadu Minor Mineral Concession Rules, 1959. Since his request was not considered, this writ petition came to be filed.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that only through online mode, permission can be sought and obtained. The petitioner is not 2/5

3 W.P.(MD)NO.26054 OF 2025 in a position to submit an online application. It appears that the procedure that is obtaining as on date is also rather cumbersome. Portal is also having some technical issues. The respondents submit that all these issues would be resolved within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Thereafter, it is open to the petitioner to resubmit the application through online mode. Thereupon, the third respondent will dispose of the application as per law within a period of four weeks, thereafter.

4. Recording the said stand of the respondents, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
