petitioner's husband's date of last service (20.03.2023) to till the date of reimbursement (26.08.2024) of amount paid towards the petitioner's husband's terminal and pension benefits namely EPF Employee's Contribution, Gratuity and Encashment of Earned/Sick Leaves and commuted value of pension and other monetary benefits etc., within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court, without affecting the petitioner's right to claim balance amounts towards those benefits.

O R D E R
The present Writ Petition has been filed by a wife of the deceased employee of the respondent Transport Corporation seeking a Mandamus for payment of interest for the belated disbursement of terminal benefits.
2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the petitioner's husband had passed away on 20.03.2023 and his terminal benefits were released only on 26.08.2024. Hence, the petitioner has addressed a communication to the respondents on 11.11.2024, seeking payment of interest 2/5
for the belated disbursement of terminal benefits. Since there is no response, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.
4. Considering the above said facts, the respondents herein are directed to pay the interest at the rate of 6% per annum for the belated disbursement of terminal benefits from the due date till the date of disbursement, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
