ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent herein to sanction and disburse the remaining Gratuity amount of sum of Rs.8,07,650/- with interest of 10 % to the petitioner in the light of the proceedings passed by the Registrar of Co-operative Societies vide his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.55859/2022 Na.Va.3 dated 16.08.2022 within a time frame stipulated by this Court.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner joined the service of the third respondent society on 01.10.1984 as an Assistant and he held various posts in the third respondent society and had retired in the post of Secretary on 30.04.2024. The first respondent did not pass any orders permitting him 2/5

to receive his terminal benefits. Hence, the petitioner made several representation to the respondents dated 12.07.2024, 04.12.2024, 24.01.2025 and 17.06.2025 seeking to disburse his gratuity amount of Rs.8,07,650/- . But there was no response from the respondents. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. I have considered the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

4. without entering upon the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to disburse the terminal benefits to the petitioner by treating him as an Secretary of the third respondent society by considering his representation dated 17.06.2025 within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. 28.11.2025 TTA 3/5
