PRAYER:- Writ Petition - filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to break open the sealed property mentioned in the order passed in Na.Ka. No. 525/2023/F1 and permit the petitioner to take his belongings from the lock and sealed premises.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by DR.ANITA SUMANTH, J.) In a writ petition filed by the owner of the property, who is the fourth respondent herein, (WMP(MD)No.17959 of 2025 and WP(MD)No.18991 of 2025,) this Court had directed removal of lock and seal within a day, further directing that the offending portions of the property at D.Nos.185 & 184, Kannimaramman Kovil Street, Tenkasi, are to be demolished within a period of one week from the date of that order, ie., 17.09.2025.

2.Mr.P.Athimoola Pandian, learned counsel, who appears for the Commissioner Tenkasi Municipality confirms that the lock and seal has been removed. It remains now for the offending portions to be demolished within one week from 17.09.2025.

3.Therefore, nothing survives in this writ petition, except to say that the petitioner is at liberty to move his possessions immediately from the first floor of D.Nos.185 & 184, Kannimaramman Kovil Street, Tenkasi, in anticipation of the imminent demolition. 4.This writ petition is closed. No costs.
