Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents No.1 to 3 to provide adequate police protection for conducting Kumbabishekam festival held on 21.11.2025 to 23.11.2025 in "Nainatha Karuppa Saamy Temple", situated at Kattinipatti, Sivagangai District, based on the petitioner's representations dated 01.09.2025 and 03.09.2025. 1/4

ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for Mandamus to direct the respondents to provide police protection for conducting Kumbabishekam festival between 21.11.2025 and 23.11.2025 in Nainatha Karuppa Saamy Temple situated at Kattinipatti, Sivagangai District, based on the petitioner's representations dated 01.09.2025 and 03.09.2025.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, would submit that the representation of the petitioner would be favourably considered and the decision taken thereon would be communicated to the petitioner within a period of four weeks.

3. Recording the aforesaid submission, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 03.09.2025 and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
