Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the entire records in connection with the impugned proceedings issued by the first respondent/ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited dated 30.06.2024 and quash the same and consequently direct the second respondent to disburse the insurance coverage amount bearing policey No.97067006 to petitioner. O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed challenging the order passed by the first respondent thereby rejected the claim of the petitioner under ICICI Prudential Life Insurance policy by an order, dated 30.06.2024.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and perused the materials placed before this Court.

3. On a perusal of the impugned order revealed that the petitioner can go before the Insurance Company Grievance Redressal Committee within 30 days from the date of receipt of the letter. The petitioner without exhausting the appeal remedy before the Grievance Redressal Committee, the present writ petition has been filed. Therefore, the writ petition cannot be entertained.

4. In view of the above, the writ petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to approach the Grievance Redressal Committee within a period of two weeks from today. It is made clear that the Grievance Redressal Committee is directed to entertain the appeal to be filed by the petitioner, if it is filed within two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed. 2/4
