Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to disburse the petitioner's difference amount of pensions arrears from Jan-2018 to Oct - 2019 along with 6% interest and pass such further or other orders as this Court.

ORDER

The instant writ petition has been filed by a retired employee of the respondent Transport Corporation seeking the benefits under 13th wage settlement.

2. According to the petitioner, he has retired from service on 30.04.2016. However, he is entitled to benefits under the 13th wage settlement in view of the fact that it applies to all those employees, who were in service on 01.09.2016.

3. Seeking the said benefits, the petitioner has given a representation on 23.09.2023. Since the same has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. Considering the above said facts, the respondents herein are directed to disburse the eligible benefits to the writ petitioner along with 6% interest from the due date till the date of realization, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above said direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
