O R D E R

The Civil Revision Petition has been filed seeking a direction to dispose of the petition in Election O.P.No.56 of 2022, pending on the file of the District and Sessions Court, Thoothukudi, within a specified time fixed by this Court.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the fourth respondent has filed a counter on 27.11.2023 and the case is now pending for enquiry.

3. As per Section 258(6) Tamil Nadu Panchayat Act 1994, the election petition has to be disposed of within six months.

4. Hence, the learned Principal District Judge, is hereby directed to proceed with the enquiry and dispose of the Election Original petition as stipulated under Section 258(6) Tamil Nadu Panchayat Act.

5. With the above direction, the Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
