ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The relief sought for in the present Writ Petition is to grant ordinary leave for 30 days without escort to the petitioner's son, namely, Gopa Kumar, S/o.Sukumaran, aged about 48 years life convict prisoner bearing Convict No.LCT.No.3037, detained in Central Prison, Palayamkottai. 2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents has made a submission that 28 days leave are available in the credit of the prisoner, but reports are to be obtained from the Probation Officer and the local Police. The reports of the authorities are sought for by the prison authority, which is yet to be received.
3.Under these circumstances, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner / mother of the convict and take a decision as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of three (3) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4
