ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus to consider the representation of the writ petitioner for compassionate appointment.

2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the petitioner's father who was working in the 3rd respondent Primary Health Centre as Health Inspector had passed away while in service on 14.09.2022. The petitioner who is working in the same Primary Health Centre on contractual basis from 04.04.2020, has sought for compassionate appointment through his application, dated 29.05.2023. The said application is pending before the 1st respondent. Since no orders have been passed, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Considering the fact that the petitioner's father was working in the 3rd respondent Primary Health Centre and died in harness, this Court is inclined to direct the 1st respondent herein to consider the request of the petitioner for compassionate appointment based upon his representation, dated 29.05.2023 in the light of G.O.Ms.No.33 Labour 2/4

Welfare and Skill Development (Q1) Department, dated 08.03.2023 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
