ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by the wife of the Special Grade Conductor of the respondent Corporation, who passed away on 17.08.2020 seeking direction for payment of interest for the belated disbursement of the terminal benefits.

2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, petitioner's husband had passed away on 17.08.2020 and the terminal benefits were settled only on 06.12.2022. The petitioner has sent a representation on 15.11.2023 seeking interest for the belated disbursement.

3. Considering the above said facts, the respondents herein are directed to pay interest at the rate of 6% from 01.09.2020 till the date of realisation (05.12.2022) within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
