ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the respondents to take necessary action on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 17.11.2024. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that on 17.11.2024, at 06.30 a.m, the proposed accused namely, Abdul Pasith and Shajahan, said to have assaulted the petitioner in front of his house and caused grievous injury on various parts of his body and threatened him with dire consequences. At that time, the entire occurrence has been captured through mobile phone by some other persons and the same was handed over to the petitioner. Thereafter, the petitioner along with all documents, wound certificate, discharge certificate and video footage of the occurrence, to the second respondent. But the second respondent has not taken any action against the accused persons. Again, the petitioner sent a representation to the first respondent. Thereafter, the second respondent has given C.S.R.No.556 of 2024, on 17.11.2024. Thereafter, the second respondent has not registered the case. Hence, the present petition has been filed.

3.When the matter is taken up for hearing today (ie., 03.12.2024), the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents Police submitted that the second respondent police registered a case in Crime No.258 of 2024, for the offence under Sections 296(b), 115(2) and 351(3) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, on 03.12.2024, on the file of the Thuravankurichi Police Station, Trichy District.

4.In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that the FIR has been registered in Crime No.258 of 2024, for the offence under Sections 296(b), 115(2) and 351(3) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, on 03.12.2024, on the file of the Thuravankurichi Police Station, Trichy District, this writ petition is closed.
