ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the Judicial Magistrate No.III, Thanjavur to send the specimen signature and other materials obtained from the petitioner and the 2nd respondent herein on 15.12.2009 for obtaining handwriting expert opinion of the Forensic Department, Chennai and to complete the trial and to pronounce judgment within a time frame.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that on 08.02.2018 itself, the signatures obtained from the petitioner and the 2nd respondent were sent to the Forensic Science Department for getting expert opinion.

3. The said submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) is recorded. At the same time the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner made a submission that some direction may be issued to the concerned Judicial Magistrate for disposing the petition mentioned case within a stipulated time.

4. Now, considering the entire facts and circumstances, it appears that the case pertaining to this petition in C.C.No.156 of 2006 is pending from 2006 onwards. So, it could be appropriate for giving some direction to the learned Magistrate concerned. Accordingly, the learned Judicial Magistrate No.III, Thanjavur is hereby directed to dispose of the case in C.C.No.156 of 2006 within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
