ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to cancel the wrong entry made in the online patta No. 845 in respect of property in S.No. 40/2 measuring to an extent of 0.31.50 hectors situated in Thiruvellarai Village, Manachanallur Taluk, Trichy District, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.

3. The subject property belongs to the petitioner and his family and they are in peaceful possession and enjoyment of the subject property. While being so, the petitioner came to understand that patta for 2/6

the subject property was registered in the name of a temple. The petitioner therefore approached the respondents to cancel the wrong entry made in online patta. But the respondents did not take any steps. Hence, the petitioner submitted a detailed representation to the respondents on 20.12.2023 requesting to cancel the wrong entry made in online patta in respect of the subject property. Since no action was taken, the petitioner has filed the above writ petition for the aforesaid relief.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if a direction is issued to the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 20.12.2023 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

Considering the limited relief sought for by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, a direction is issued to the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.12.2023 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/6

6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
