PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to mutate the petitioner name in the revenue records to subject properties as pattadars deleting the existing entry of "bought in land" pertaining to the properties admeasuring 3.44.5 hectares in Survey No.211/1 (i)admeasuring 4.07.5 hectares in Survey No.214/1 (ii), admeasuring 0.13.5 hectares in Survey No.214/2 (iii), admeasuring 2.30.5 hectares in Survey No.215/2 (iv) and admeasuring 1.77.5 hectares in Survey No.217/3 (v) situate at Thakshinapuram Village, Koviloor Circle, Vallanadu Region, Alangudi Taluk, Pudukottai District based on the 1/4
petitioners representation dated 26.08.2025 within the time limit that may be stipulated by this court.

ORDER
The petitioner seeks the restoration of his name in the revenue records relating to the properties in the survey numbers mentioned in the prayer of the writ petition.
2.Learned counsel for the petitioner relies upon the communication from the Revenue Divisional Officer and Tahsildar at page Nos.20 and 23 of the typed set of papers.
3.Learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of all the respondents. He points out that the extent of land in respect of which the petitioner seeks reclassification and mutation is very large. Without prejudice, he states that the second respondent would consider and dispose of the request on merits within 12 weeks.

4.Accordingly, without making any observations on the merits, the second respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 26.08.2025 on merits within 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner. No costs.
